Once you’ve paid in full for the project, then you own the artwork. This means that, yes, you own your logo and can have access to the native files. However, as is industry standard, we retain the right to use our designs in our online and static portfolios.
Every job we do is custom fit to you and based on a variety of factors, such as: your needs, your market and your clientele, so there isn’t a “one size fit’s all” answer to this question. But, here are some general guidelines for several of our most common projects:
- Logo Design & Branding Guidelines: 3-4 weeks
- Brochure Design (also includes: door hangers, spec sheets, larger postcards): 7 business days
- Websites: 6 weeks minimum
- Tradeshow Displays / Booth: 2-3 weeks
- Vehicle Graphics: 2-3 weeks
- Multi-page Booklets, Guidebooks, Instructional Manuals: 4-6 weeks
Of course, if you need something faster, we can most likely accommodate you, but the more time the better! This is not an exhaustive list, so if you are in need of a designer, please contact us and we will give you a specific estimate and timeline based on your needs.
- Typically, we require 50% down upon acceptance of our proposal / estimate to begin a project. Once the project is completed, the balance is due within 7 days.
- For smaller projects, we will bill you once the project is completed, but we will require payment before we release the artwork to you.
- Payment types accepted: Checks, ACH, Visa, Mastercard, Discover
- You own the artwork once we have received full payment.
We love creating beautiful and compelling designs, but the working relationship we develop with you is equally just as important because it is the foundation for effective communication. Bonus: we usually end up becoming friends in the process too. When you tell us what you are wanting, try to be as specific as you can. The more precise you are, the more likely the finished design will reflect your vision.
To keep the project streamlined and on budget, try to follow these steps:
- Communicate your concept clearly and if providing content, give it to us un a way which is easy to utilize, i.e. if you’re sending us text, send it in a Word file or in an email, so we can easily copy the text out. Additionally, providing content in a timely manner is helpful for staying on budget and meeting deadlines.
- Two rounds of revisions are included in the cost of every project. Limit the amount of revisions and back-and-forth by sending them in a clear and concise format. We find that email lists work really well in keeping information organized.
- If needed, we can have a meeting (virtual or in-person) to setup timelines and go over the concept. For larger projects, this is an especially important step.
Yes! We are a full-service design company, so we’ll take care of you from the drawing board all the way to placing the finished product in your hands. This can include printing, mailing, folding (for brochures), apparel items (for screen printing and embroidery) and promotional items. For example, if you wanted to do custom water bottles, in addition to getting you the custom design, we’d also provide the water bottles. Our goal is to make this experience easy for you.
Yes, unless specifically requested not to do so, we create brand guidelines to go along with your logo. This is our standard protocol (and it is already included in your project estimate). Branding guidelines are an indispensable tool for your company because it provides the “rules” for your new logo. These rules include, but are not limited to: correct usage, color designations and your brand’s official fonts. These are critical pieces for building your company’s branding and increasing familiarity in the marketplace.
